Anniversary - 25 Years at Minnow Lake Location
It was 25 years ago in 2000 at the turn of the century that we acquired the historic Barry homestead, shown at the time in the left photo, at 1546 Bellevue Avenue, located on an acre of land on the shores of Minnow Lake.
The street was named by Mrs. Barry who also named several streets in the area and in New Sudbury including Barry-Downe Road.
Although converted to an office, most of the building has been preserved. There have been some renovations such as a new steel roof, enhancing its value now and for the future. It is an example of how older structures can be preserved economically rather than building new and still maintain a connection to the past.

The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow - Tickets Available
We are living in troubling times, but the message of the musical Annie is that the "sun will come out tomorrow."
We have a number of tickets for the YES Theatre musical production on Tuesday, November 25th, and if you and a companion would like to attend in celebration of our anniversary, please contact us as soon as possible as tickets are limited.

Team Canada Wins Medals at the World Dragon Boat Competition in Germany
This year in Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany, the 17th World Dragon Boat Racing Championships was held.
Last year in Ravenna, Italy, Melanie's True North paddling club won multiple medals. She had previously competed successfully in competitions in the United States and Canada. This year Melanie tried out and was selected for one of the Canadian teams.
Melanie's Canadian Team raced in the 200, 500, 1000 and 2000 metre distances, coming home with 3 Gold medals and a Silver.
Growing Trees - Like Growing Assets
To replace older and dying poplar trees on our office property, we planted new species. Two are shown here, a blue spruce and a maple, which were only about a foot tall when planted about 25 years ago. Look at them now with Marina standing under the fall colours of the maple. Others continue to grow tall as well.
